The energy of motivation

"Why don't I have the energy to do anything? 

"Why don't I care about things any more?"

Are your energy systems balances and your programs get released, your motivation shifts. It feels like you have lost it. The truth is, you misplaced it along time ago. You may have even done a ton of work on yourself to realign with your truth which make you feel more lost.

My guess is you are "shoulding on yourself". When you push yourself to do something, you actually are taking energy away from other places where you actually need the energy to be to get things done. 

Time to realign your motivation

I hear from my clients all the time how they used to know what motivated them and now they have lost it. As they go on a search for their long lost motivation they find that their motivation was highjacked by various experiences in their life, normally disguised as helpful advice. They had placed their motivation on that advice and displaced their own inner guidance. 

What's my motivation versus your desire for me? 


Picking up other's emotions is often a common practice for those of you who are more sensitive.  

We do a lot of things for a lot of reasons and sometimes we think we are doing what we want when we have been given no other perceived choices or are following the leader.

But people do a lot of things, based on programs they have picked up from others that has nothing to do with what they really want. For example, maybe you think you should be making more money, but what you have to do to make that money is not what you want. Maybe the real job for you doesn't pay well in money, but pays well in experiences and how it connects to your heart. 

When you feel the have to and should energy coming up:

  • Ask yourself who originally told you this information.
  • Were they coming from a clear space?
  • Does it serve you to take that into your life?
  • If yes, why? If no, then how can you work towards letting it go?

Now I am clear, what now? 

Once you have found out how to balance out your inner truth with your outer experience, begin allowing the inner truth to show up more. Allowing a balance between masculine and feminine energies to have equal value in your life.  Both sides are important and as you read this list see if anything pops up as bad or of less value. Think of it like and orchestra, all the instruments are important, but all of them take turns being out front and loud and soft and in the background. Same goes for these traits, you can't be all of them all of the time, but they all should have permission to show up when needed.

Be your own cheerleader

We have a tendency to shame ourselves and others into doing things. It is a bad habit and it doesn't motivate anyone. Instead it creates and avoidance of the tasks at hand. Focusing on what is working and how to expand on that is a great place to start. If you find imbalances or behaviors or thoughts that you don't like, just notice and gently steer yourself in a new direction. 

Ask for help

When you are feeling stuck ask for help. Reach out to your resources and see what they think might help. If you feel alone and stuck, find a professional energy coach, therapist, life coach, etc. There are resources out there, you just have to look.
