If you are reading this, there is a high probability that your heart has been broken. It may have been caused by a death, a breakup of any kind, a loss of faith, career, or hopes, dreams and expectations for yourself, or a loved one. There are over 42 losses that a person encounters during a lifetime The loss may be very recent or it may have been tucked “safely” away for many years.
Grief is normal and natural reaction to a significant emotional loss of any kind. Often in our society we are encouraged to "Let go and move on". Most of us would do that if we knew how. Unfortunately we receive more education about simple First Aid that we do about emotional losses. Therefore we are far better prepared deal with minor accidents than we are to deal with loss/grief.
Healing Through Grief Workshops are take action programs which provide and guide you through correct action choices that move you beyond the pain caused by a loss of any kind. It requires a commitment to your own healing through a structured 12 hour interactive workshop, beginning on Friday evening and ending on Sunday afternoon.
The workshops create a safe environment where you can look at old beliefs about dealing with loss, look at what losses have affected your life and may still be negatively affecting your life, and to take new action steps. These steps lead to the completion of the pain attached to one of those losses. Completion of the relationship to the pain, results in regaining a better sense of well being and the ability to live a richer, more joyous life, more fully in the present.
Jo Leightner is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and brings her experience of teaching adults, teaching yoga and meditation, and hospice work to these workshops.
