Manifesting With the Chakras
Chakras are energy vortices in the physical body. There are many different systems you can study in regard to viewing these energy systems. Below is a simplified way of investigating these centers in order to identify blocks and tune into your energy field.
This system tends to stay balanced as a whole, so if one is blocked, you might find another one is too active in order to compensate.
Once you have identified your block(s), ask yourself which area is overactive. Notice how both the block and the overactive chakra have served you. See if you can find the reason why you let the imbalance occur to begin with.
This is a way to categorize your focus. If you identify the source of the imbalance, you can work on clearing it out.
There are many different beliefs and interpretations of the chakra system. The one presented above is very basic. If you want to get into more detail with this topic, I recommend reading the book Energetic Boundaries by Cyndi Dale.
A Note on Desire and Manifestation
Before diving into the individual centers, there is an important principle to understand. When you approach this work from a place of wanting, you are actually broadcasting the energy of lack. Desire, in its raw form, is a signal to the universe that you do not yet have what you seek. The universe will mirror that absence back to you.
True manifestation requires you to move beyond desire and into embodiment. This means shifting from "I want this" to "I have this". This is not about pretending, this is about energetically occupying the reality where you intend to live. Feel it as done. Feel it as present.
The chakras become powerful tools in this process because they reveal where in your body you are still holding onto the vibration of lack, fear, or unworthiness rather than the vibration of wholeness.
As you work through each chakra center listed below, notice not just where you feel blocked, but whether that block is rooted in longing. Longing is the felt sense of separation from what you want. The work is to dissolve that separation by recognizing the version of you who already has it right now. Then, align your energy with that truth.
The Seven Centers
Root Chakra — “I Am” (Base of Spine)
This is your foundation: safety, survival, belonging, and trust in the physical world. A block here often shows up as financial anxiety, fear of the future, or a persistent sense that the world is not safe. An overactive root can look like hoarding, rigidity, or excessive materialism. The manifesting block at this level is the belief that you must struggle to survive and that abundance is scarce and must be fought for. The invitation is to root into the truth that you are supported.
Question to explore: “Does what I desire feel safe to manifest?” If the answer is “no,” then you won’t be able to move into physically manifesting this desire.
Sacral Chakra — “I Feel” (Below the Navel)
This center governs creativity, pleasure, emotion, and flow. A block here can appear as creative stagnation, emotional numbness, guilt around pleasure, or difficulty receiving. When this center is overactive, emotions become overwhelming or manipulative. The manifesting block here is the belief that you are not allowed to enjoy, receive, or create freely. The invitation is to let yourself feel the joy of your desired reality fully and without apology.
Question to explore: “How would I feel knowing my desire is for sure coming to fruition?” Feelings are the language of the universe. Good feelings are the feelings of aligned creation.
Solar Plexus Chakra — “I Do” (Above the Navel)
This is your personal power center: will, confidence, action, and identity. A block here often manifests as self-doubt, people-pleasing, or an inability to take aligned action. Overactivity can appear as control, aggression, or the need to dominate outcomes. The manifesting block at this level is the belief that you are not enough — not capable, not deserving, not powerful enough to create the life you envision. The invitation is to own your authority.
Question to explore: “How would I protect my desire and take mindful action?” It is important to put healthy boundaries around your desires so you can clearly see what the next steps are.
Heart Chakra — “I Love” (Center of Chest)
This is the bridge between the lower and upper chakras. The place where the personal meets the universal. A block here shows up as grief, resentment, isolation, or an inability to give or receive love freely. The heart is also where gratitude lives, and gratitude is one of the most potent frequencies for manifestation! You cannot fully receive until you have loved yourself enough to believe that you are deserving. The invitation is to open up (to yourself, to others, and to the life already unfolding for you).
Question to explore: “Do I love myself enough to allow my desires to manifest?” This, like the root chakra, can stop you in your tracks. If the answer is “no” then work on making sure it is a “yes”.
Throat Chakra — “I Speak” (Throat)
This center governs communication, truth, and authentic expression. A block here can appear as difficulty speaking your truth, swallowing your needs, or fear of being seen and heard. Overactivity can show up as talking over others, gossip, or using words to control rather than connect. The manifesting block here is the gap between what you say and what you believe. If your words affirm abundance while your inner voice whispers doubt, the throat is the place where that bridge breaks down. The invitation is to align your voice with your vision.
Question to explore: “Have I communicated, in detail, what I actually desire?” The universe is listening, but like a server at a restaurant, you can’t get food from the kitchen until you tell them what you want. The more specific, the better!
Third Eye Chakra — “I See” (Between the Brows)
This is your center of intuition, vision, and inner knowing. A block here often shows up as confusion, indecision, or disconnection from your inner guidance. When this center is overactive, you may become lost in imagination without grounding in reality. This chakra is where you hold the vision of what you are calling in. If you cannot see it, you cannot become it. The invitation is to trust what you know and to practice seeing the life you are creating with clarity and conviction.
Question to explore: “Do I know myself enough to understand my true desires?” For example, if you are asking for a job but you really desire freedom, there might be more than one way to get that freedom. Tell the universe what you really want through knowing the depth of the desire.
Crown Chakra — I Understand (Top of the Head)
This is your connection to something greater than yourself, to source, the divine, universal intelligence, or whatever framework resonates with you. A block here can manifest as cynicism, spiritual disconnection, or the feeling that you are alone in your efforts. Manifestation at its deepest level is a co-creative process. You are not forcing outcomes through sheer will, you are aligning yourself with the intelligence that is already moving toward you. The invitation is to surrender: not passively, but trustingly. To do the inner work, to hold the vision, to embody the feeling, and then release your grip on how and when it arrives.
Question to explore: “Do I believe the universe is working with me?” Once again, this can hold you up. So, if the answer is “no”, work on making sure it is a “yes”. Find ways to see synchronicities from the universe throughout your day.
