Lessons of Life, Death, Expansion and Grief

Why live if you are only going to suffer and struggle in life and die anyway? Suffering maybe part of this experience on the physical plane. It may be unavoidable and part of this journey. But you came to play too. You came to bask in the glow of your physical existence.

Life is not a rush back to the other side. This is the playground of time and space. This is the realm of good food, smells, sights, and connections you could not have anywhere else.

Acknowledge the process of your life and your choice to lead it the way you do. No one else, no even your guides, are in charge of how you live if. Everything that comes to you is your soul’s opportunity and choice to learn and grow through joy and the contrast to that joy.

Charades and other pass times with your Guides

We are constantly getting signs, lessons, answers and messages from our guides and etheric helpers. Skeptics think this is all in people's heads. If that is true, let me tell you my head is SMART! Everything I hear your guides say for you is just right for you. Everything I hear them say for me is stuff I could never tell myself. So if that is all in my head, I am okay with that. Because it works. But for those of us with a little more open mindedness and willing to think beyond ourselves, hear me when I say, you are being heard and you are being answered.

Hearing the answers takes a few things besides just a clear head. Here are a few fun games to play with your guides to get the communication flowing.

Our unconscious mantra creating our realities

An unconscious mantra is the things we say out loud or in our head to ourselves without even paying attention to what we are saying that works as an incantation or prayer to the universe. In other words the announcements we make out loud that bring more of the same into our lives. How do we identify these mantras and change them?

Stay on the Train of Intention

I love my job! The conversations I have with the unseen helpers in our lives, always excites me. I am motivated by inspirations, intentions to help and the improvements I see in others. I am not motivated by the concept of more, torturing myself to perform unattainable goals, but ushering myself into doing even more of what I love. How are you motivating yourself to get to your next level? How are you monitoring your progress on that goal? Here is a fun way to think of setting intentions that doesn't require struggle and stress.

Think of your desire for an outcome to be like that purchase of a train ticket to that outcome. For example, you want to find a job. You buy this ticket and get on the train of that intention. You trust that as you sit down on this train you are getting to your desired outcome. This doesn't mean you do nothing while on this train. But what it does mean is you have to stay on the train. Don't look out the window to see if you are on the right track, look out the window knowing you are and you are enjoying the journey. Don't stop the train and try to go somewhere else midway because you aren't sure you will get there, keep steady on your intention.  Know that you are on the right track if you are remaining loving, positive and in alignment with yourself and your intentions.

You might want to respond "Well when you buy a train ticket you know where you are going and that you will for sure get there. How do I know I will get there? Every time I look for a sign that I am getting there, I don't see it."

Here is the response, "You can't buy a train ticket from California to Kansas and expect to see Kansas every time you look out the window at the track. The landscape changes frequently as you travel to your intended destination."

We put out our intentions for things to happen, not realizing several landscape changes have to happen first to let that change take place. We get fearful as the changes happen, we doubt, we fret and we get impatient. All of this gets in the way of us allowing things to happen and flow in as we have requested.

Insightful Inspiration

What track of intention are you on? Are you watching the landscape change and allowing it to morph into the intention you have already set or are you trying to control it by trying to see too far ahead? If you have set an intentional destination for yourself get on that train and trust it will take you there. Let yourself notice your own barriers to your travels and gently maneuver around them allowing your life to make room for this intention you have set. A little patience might help here too. :)

Are you the one with all the answers?

Doing this work has given me a very clear sense of how much I am addicted to people pleasing. Oh man do I want to make people happy, almost to a fault. However I have also learned through this work that I can not control the information that is being given just to make you happy or tell you what you want to hear. I can give you the positive spin of things, which is the optimistic nature of your guides. But I can't tell you the things you want to hear and the answers you want to have just because you want them. Often time the answer is hidden from view. Just for the sake of the journey. The journey is yours to have and if you already have the map, you may not take all the paths you were meant to. So the truth is kept from you, to help you grow and learn. Some times people feel tricked by this stance. But your guides are just your guides. They don't have all the answers either, nor should they. This is your life to lead. Your answers to figure out.

So when people are seeking answers and not guidance, I am not the help you are looking for. But when you realize that you are always on the right path, it is just helpful to have a flashlight, then you working with your guides and your energy to find YOUR answers. I can help with that!

Insightful Inspiration

If you are looking for someone or something to give you the answers you seek, you are on a fruitless journey. However, if you are willing to see yourself as the answer to all that you want and are, you are on the right track. Others are brought into your life to guide you and help shed light on things, but it is never good for you to give them the power to have your answers. You will get false information and find yourself following thoughts and ideas that are not your own, which never leads you to your happiness. Use others in your life to gain perspective, but seek the truth within yourself in the end.

Massage it out

My weak spot in my body is my lower back. It is actually part of what started me on the journey to wake up and pay attention to what is really happening. Anyway, I have a massage therapist that I use that is nothing more than a miracle worker! She just can get right to the issue and get it out for me. My back being out today gave me the motivation to write about how our energy is energy and what our bodies do is what the rest of our energy systems do too. For example, when she gets into a tight spot, the body flinches and protects the spot. It is painful and it doesn't want to feel this pain. At this point in the massage you have two choices, skip the spot or dig in deeper. If you skip it, the problem remains and festers, eventually causing more problems throughout the body. If you dig in deeper, the body resists the pain, but eventually is forced to let go and relax. What a gift to let it go! Now it may be sore and need healing after the release, but it is so much better than hanging on to it.

Now apply this emotions. We avoid the painful ones and stuff them when they come up. Problems come up because of this and it festers and causes more problems. If we just feel the emotions and get it out, it releases and we move on.

Apply this to mental processes. If we avoid things that are difficult or just think about the surface issue over and over, you never get that thought resolved and it takes away the energy to process other things. But if you dig in and figure out why you are mentally processing something, you can resolve it with more clarity.

You get the point, it might be better to focus on things rather than let it hang out and cause problems.

I want to share a video with you of my son. He is reading from my book, Insightful Inspirations, and he is reflecting (on his own, unscripted and unplanned) about his experiences with getting hung up on a blind cord. :(  His advice, stop trying to ignore it. Face it and let it go.

Insightful Inspiration Get a massage! Well, okay that is just a nice to have. Notice where you are feeling pain, tension or struggle and avoiding actually digging in. If these are particularly painful places to go to, get some help! Coaches, counselors, therapists, ministers, ME... we are all here to help you work through the painful places so you can release them. Support, to help you face what you aren't facing and move past it. What a gift. Give it a shot! :)

My Book Is Here!

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog about my news!  I have published a book! Insightful Inspirations, conversation starters with your authentic self. This book is a compilation of blogs, work with others and just general wisdom I have recieved. It is designed to be held in your hand, holding a question in your mind and then open it up to some perspective. I hope to have a card deck that goes with it one day. The artist who did my cover, Stephanie Ingraham with Siyo, will be doing that artwork.

I have to admit that I was pretty nervous to put this book out. Even though I have had it written for over two years, there is just so much exposure with putting this out. I have already found one typo, despite having several proofs and am not sure I like how it printed with the questions on the back of the page. But the gift of this experience is that it is a perfect healing opportunity for my perfection issues! It doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful. That is the amazing gift I will find here, how to just trust and accept my imperfections.

On the flip side, I am even more worried it will do well! :) Fear of success I guess. But part of me worries that I won't have time and won't appreciate the exposure. Again, another amazing opportunity to face my fears and heal. I am catching myself saying "It is just a little book" or "Yeah, no big deal". Wow, who knew I would have such a hard time embracing my accomplishment! I am releasing this issue as well and look forward to whatever this brings.

I have been using the book on my own since I received it and I have to say, I love having it in a format I can hold in my hand. It is so much fun to use! (If I do say so myself.) So I hope you all will take a moment to check it out and find as much value out of it as I do.

Insightful Inspiration

What have you delayed putting out into the world because you are afraid of having it fail? Or maybe you are afraid of it suceeding! What is the worst that can happen? What is the best that can happen? Is it worth the risk?

If you have already faced something like this, share with us. We can all learn from you.

The pull to the truth

What keeps us going? What makes us press on even when we can't possibly find the will to do so? k.d. lang's song Constant Cravings comes to mind. It is about that march onward. Most of us are driven to ask the questions about why and how at least once. This is what I call the pull to the truth. What is the truth? Well there is a whole wikipedia page that will tell you there is never a simple answer to anything. (yet there is) has five meanings for truth. What a complicated answer I seek. Yet it isn't.

To me we all have a pull to our own truth. A need to identify for ourselves what IS and IS NOT. As children we start off looking at other for the truth, but quickly we begin to notice that there is a difference between our truth and those around us. It may cause us to rebel, act out or conform to a way that isn't our true nature. Where do we find our true nature? How do we know it when we find it?

But the pull to the truth exist in each and every one of us. The desire to see our lives, purpose and existence for what it really is. However, the answer is only inside ourselves because the measure of truth for each of us is different and the only way to see that measure is to look at ourselves.

"Actual existence" is one of the definitions on What is actual existence? Actual is defined as existing now, existence is the continuance in being. So being now. Ahh, so we come full circle back to the new age movement of being in the NOW! Being in the now = the truth. Interesting. So why are we seeking the truth outside the now? The truth is now, here with us at all times. So it turns out the pull to the truth is a pull to the present moment.

Which brings me to my always consistent message of presence. :)

Insightful Inspiration

Be present and you will find the truth you seek.

The challenges of success

I was listening to  Ted talk by Bill Ford and it got me thinking about the idea of accomplishing what you set out to do. In his talk, he is addressing some of the problems the invention of the car has brought onto the planet. Things are never "done" nothing is ever "perfect" and honestly, sometimes (often) getting what we want creates new problems to address. Bill Ford refers to the need to have "leap thinking" in place for some of the issues around cars. We can't solve some of these issues by just thowing more of the same at it, we have to leap ahead and think of something new. Lets apply this back to your life on a one to one basis. Lets say you set out to get a job. It takes you awhile (given the current conditions) and once you do, you couldn't be happier. Problem solved, right? Wrong, a whole new set of problems arise from having a job. How are you going to schedule in the other things that are needed to be done, how are you going to get your kids where they need to be, where are you going to find the time and money to get the wardrobe you need, etc. The problems created by having the job, could be as many as not. However, you are more willing to deal with those problems because the rewards are there too. It also might be in need of this "leap thinking" that Mr. Ford refers to. You might need to take a whole new approach to how you look at it.

Here is one idea, change the way you think about your challenges. The whole thing is not about solving all of your problems. It is about challenging yourself daily, which happens naturally if you let it, and relishing in the joy of the challenge, not cursing it. It is about taking on the challenges as they come, knowing they are all part of what you wanted to begin with. Going back, it is all part of being able to go where every you want quickly to have issues with roads, traffic, exhaust, etc. Your trade off. What you are always checking in with is, are my trade offs in balance?  (i.e. the world we live in is too sick to sustain us, but we can drive around it) Don't go to sleep about your choices. It is all your choice. You may not think it is, but it is.

If you are succssful, you will have more challenges, this is on purpose. This is part of your growth! Embrace it! When you feel overwhelmed with the challenges you face, come back to it. Trust me it will wait for you and if you address this one, there is always another waiting. Go at these things only when you can with a clear head, a happy heart and an enthusiastic spirit. Otherwise... take a nap and return when you can be there.

Insightful Inspirations of the week

Take this week to reflect on what you perceive to be your latest successes and relate them back to your challenges. See the beauty of them working to bring your balance in your life.  You don't have to know all of the challenges on the other side of accomplishing your goals, in fact there is no way to know until you get there, but the point is, you can go at it, knowing you have the strength and endurance required for the journey. Don't ask "why me?" Use those moments of feeling overwhelmed with challenges, to remind you of your trade offs and where you might want to make adjustments. Have fun!

Why am I surrounded by idiots?

People spend a lot of time in my office asking me "Why do I keep attracting this?!" The interesting part of the law of attraction, etc. is that the more we ask that question, the more opportunities we have to answer it. We attract more and more of the things we find so irritating, until we figure out why it is we find it irritating to begin with. This is a difficult concept for people to get when it comes to the teachings of "the Secret", etc. They want to believe they are a victim of their life, maybe because it is easier than taking full responsibility, maybe because they don't know where to start if they have to think they are in 100% control, or maybe it has something to do with fitting it. What ever the reason people want to reject this idea, is the very reason they Key having these experiences.

Here is an example, one of my clients asks me "Why am I surrounded by idiots? Why is everyone in my world clueless and self absorbed?" This very question is kind of like raising your hand in class. You teacher is going to demonstrate your question, so you get your answer. How do they demonstrate it? Not by giving you the opposite of what you asked, but by giving you a closer look at what you asked, in other words, bringing you more clueless idiots in your life so you can figure out why you are attracting it.

A better question might be simply to ask "Why can't I surround myself with aware, informed people who are capable of thinking beyond themselves?" At lease it is bringing in the subject you truly want. However, it may take a few more idiots to get your attention in order for you to make the shift to attract what you desire.

In other words, the more you ask why you are having a certain experience, the more of those experiences you attract. It is similar said than done, because people ARE their beliefs and it is often hard for them to suddenly see themselves surrounded by a different type of person, when they are so use to be surrounded by what they typically see. That is the other part of the equation I have talked about so much on my blog. That part that says "I want this, but I don't believe I can have it." That part of you that rejects the people you want to attract because you don't believe it can truly exist.

Here is another example. I have a client who has asked for more people who "get" what she is into regarding energy work. Then she attracts those types of people, but she continuously rejects them because she doesn't believe they are truly the ones she has asked for and still must have the "old agenda" even though they say they don't. Her belief system is fighting with her law of attraction. This happens ALL the time. This may sound ridiculous to you, but I bet if you have done any of this law of attraction work and you see yourself not getting what you think you want. It is because you don't 100% believe it can be possessed.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

Use the question "How come this keeps happening to me?" in a different way. Instead of asking from a pity me space, asked if from a classroom space of true curiosity. Ask yourself  that question honestly and opening and see what answers come to you. You will get your answers. Some of them may be answers you don't want to hear, but you have to be willing to hear it. For example maybe you are attracting less intelligent people in your space because you have the desire to feel superior intellectually. You like being the "smartest" and being able to look around and not see anyone comparing to you. You might even like complaining about it. {gasp} :) Never the less, you can make a shift if you want to if you let go of the benefits this thing is secretly providing. Give it a shot!

It is time to look at things differently

This post is inspired by a video clip from the Ted conference that a client of mine sent me. I love this message so much, and it is one I personally subscribe to as often as possible, but being a natural born perfectionist, need reminding of daily. That message is that it is OKAY to be wrong. No really, I swear. It helps us learn. Similar to the challenges post last week, this is me, encouraging you to face your mistakes like wonderful gifts and embrace them. Here is the clip by Kathryn c on being wrong.S

The open mind, the one that is willing to be wrong once in awhile for better ideas than the ones that they currently have, is in my opinion the best gift of all. The Free Dictionary defines an open mind as having a mind that is open and receptive to new ideas. But to me, this means you are willing to say that your current ideas might be wrong. Always willing to reconsider.

The think about giving up old ideas for the sake of new ones, doesn't mean your old ones were ever wrong. For you, they were right, just then. But there comes a time when maybe that idea no longer serves your reality and it is time to look at things differently. Sometimes the only reason we are not willing to do this is because we are afraid to admit we made old decisions from the wrong place. But how about instead of thinking that we are ever wrong, but still being willing to admit it, we think we are always flexible in what can and cannot be true.

I know, I can hear the arguments already. But just try this out a bit on your own "wrong" way of thinking and see if you want to make it "right" for yesterday, but "wrong" for today.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

What thought patterns are you hanging on to that are "wrong" today? What is the world trying to fight you on right now that you are "right fighting" for? Are you open minded enough to explore other possibilities? Can you be willing to let yourself admit you are wrong, to see things differently? Find the freedom that comes from not always having to be right? Give it a try, just admit you are wrong on some things this week. Wear it proudly and show that you are willing to admit it and try things from a new direction. Humble yourself a bit and join the human race. "To err is human" which means it must have a divine key to our ability to be the best humans we can.

Choosing to be happy

I have blogged a lot about perspectives and perceptions and how they can be changed to change your experience in any given situation. But what if no matter what you do, you can't think positively? What if you are a totally connected person most of the time, but today you just can't see the good in the world? Is something wrong with you? Do you have a block? Are you loosing your enlightenment?!! :) No, of course not. The human experience is designed to be a range of experiences. The good, the bad, the hard, the easy... all wrapped up into one giant box called life. You can't always choose to be happy about where you are. If you were in the Japan earthquakes right now, would you be able to just choose your way to happiness? If you were in the Congo witnessing inhuman acts of violence, would you just choose to be happy? NOPE! That is ridiculous.

The key to all of this is that you choose to be happy when it make sense and you allow other emotions to take over when they make more sense. Here is how this works. If you are on vacation and things seem to just keep going wrong, you luggage is lost, your flight is delayed, your tired and hungry and all there is to eat is crappy airport food. In this situation you CAN choose to be happy. You are on vacation for goodness sake. You may not be doing what you want, but you are safe, you are sheltered and you have the potential to be somewhere great soon. So make the best of it and go exploring the airport. :)

Here is another example, let's say you are being judged by someone else for something they think you did wrong. You try and apologize, you try to explain yourself, but all this person wants to do is make you feel like crap about yourself. Time to choose happiness? Not in my opinion. Time to feel your feelings, set your boundaries and remove yourself from a toxic situation as fast as you can and THEN choose happiness. Your negative emotions are not meant to be suppressed, they are a guide, telling you what is going on. Listen to them, weigh your options, and then choose a route that leads you back to your choice of happiness.

How do you tell which experience is a choose happiness experience or feel the negative experience? You just need to spend sometime asking yourself this.  You will know. Does it help me to feel negative right now? Is there something else I am being called to do? Can I change things? Is there a call to change things or just wait?

Insigthful Inspiration for the week

Choose happiness when you can this week, but also pay attention to those negative emotions. What are those negative feelings trying to tell you? Is there something you can do to change the situation you are in? Does it make sense to just try and change your perspective  or change the situation?  You decide.

Promises, Promises

My inspiration came early this week, with the annual meeting with the teachers at my son's school. Anyone who knows me, knows this is a story that goes on and on and is one with many lessons for me and my family in it. The lesson I am gleaning from it this week is the art of being yourself. What do you do if the world has a hard time with accepting who you are? I see it one of two ways, you either go extreme on just not caring what the world thinks and just being as unacceptable as possible or you over compensate and be what ever the world wants you to be. Either way, it is difficult to just remain the self that you are in the face of this judgement. We may eventually heal ourselves back to our authentic selves, but normally, along the way we have been told at least some part of that authenticity is not acceptable.

Why do we do that to each other and our kids? We have bought into the programs that if you are THIS way then you will be liked, successful, lovable, etc. and if you are NOT that way, then you are not liked, successful, lovable, etc. Who wrote the book on all of this? Who has the magic code? We all do! But only for ourselves. Not anyone else.

I think this is why releasing judgement is so important. Judgement keeps us from being ourselves even if we are just judging other people. I called this "promises" because we tell ourselves if we act a certain way we will be promised success. Does that really work?

Insightful Inspirations of the week

Be aware of what behaviors you are acting out just because you were told you should. Notice what behaviors you are doing for some reward, that may never come at all. Notice what lies you have told yourself for promises that don't seem to be coming at all. See if you can lighten up on yourself for a week on what you can and can not show the world. The more of yourself you show to the world, the more amazing you will feel and I think you will be shocked to see how the world responds.

Choose your own adventure

As we seek answers beyond ourselves about how things work and why, we may discover the power of the universe guiding and directing us. You will hear about the divine plan and how things are suppose to happen for a reason.

Does this mean that we are not in charge of the guidance and direction we are going? Are we subject to destiny no matter what you do?

No way. Think of yourself a co-creator of your world. You are creating your world using your internal thoughts, intentions, etc. But you are also creating your world with the people you surround yourself with, the choices you make and the agreements on what is real and what isn't that you have made with the people around you.

Harness the Power Around you

We are working together to create a world that we want to live in on a micro and macro level. You are in charge of yourself in this experience and the role you play in it. The trick is tapping into your deeper connections with the world around you. This will help you see your part in the co-creation and the part of divine wisdom that is available to you, but not required for you to take every single direction given. It is all free will, whether you choose to do it or not, and will serve you in some way to get you back to the divine source of yourself.

These resources that show up in your life based on the vibration of desire you have put out. If it shows up, you don't have to take it, but if you choose to take it, embrace it and let it help you.

Think of it like a choose your own adventure book. The outcomes are the same and the themes are already written. But the path to get there is always new and different depending on the choices you make along the way.

Here is a great video to explain the creation space from Abraham.

Take your power back

Are you giving up on directing and guiding your own life for the sake of the divine plan? Are you surrendering yourself into inaction, rather than using the surrender to open up your options and views of the world? Ask yourself if you are misinterpreting your "destiny" in someway that is leading you to inaction and powerlessness. That is not the point of all this. That is swinging the pendulum too far in the other direction. Seek balance and know your free will remains intact no matter what you do. How are you going to use it? That is where your experience of the divine plan unfolds into its own mystery.

Set some clear intentions

Often times I see people stuck in the doldrums of their own unconsciousness. They haven't given themselves permission to even know what they want. They put their desires out on other people and the "what ifs" and don't actually use their free will to create what they want out of life.

Write some things down for yourself. You don't have to know what you want until your life ends, but what do you want now? Tomorrow? Next week? Put some clear intentions around it and show up to make it happen.

That song is stuck in my head!

Everyone has had a song stuck in their head at one point or another. These songs even seem contagious. Someone mentioned a line from a catchy tune or sings it under their breath and the next think you know it, it is stuck in your head. It is referred to as an earworm, here is where urban dictionary defines it. There are all kinds of interesting studies about this and the brain. Dartmouth University found out that our brain will even fill in the gaps, energetically, even when the song stops playing. There are all kinds of things you can read about this topic. Here is a New York Times article about it. But if our brain will fill in the gaps on songs, where else is it filling in the blanks. My observation is that our energy systems will try and predict things in order to save energy in creating a new response. So if you get triggered in this behavior, even if it is different than the last time you experienced it, your body and mind will go to the path it has already traveled first, unless it is required to change course. This means that if you normally are defensive when receiving feedback about something, you will tend to always turn there first, before hearing the feedback.

Have you ever stressed about something you have experienced as bad in the past, expecting it to be bad again as this similar experience approaches? Then you stress, prepare and try and control your response to the upcoming badness, only to find out that there was nothing to worry about?

Awareness to these stuck energies is key to changing your experiences with the world. Just because it was bad once, doesn't always make it bad. That bad song is just stuck in your head. See if you can attract different experiences, just by becoming aware of that stuck song.

Insightful Inspirations of the week

Do you have a mantra stuck in your head about something or someone? "This always happens to me." or "I can never get paid what I am worth." or 'Men or Women are always so ____." That song is stuck in your head and you will fill in the blanks by attracting those experiences that validate that tape. See if you can replace that tape with something else. That is what Louise Hay of Hay House always tries to do, give you new mantras to say over and over. Replacing those tapes.  See if you can identify a tape that you want to replace. Put a new mantra on a sticky note where you can see it and use it in place of the old one. Then see what shifts.

Clogged Energy Drain, healing the past with the present.

Have you ever reacted to something someone said or did and justified it with "well if it was just his one thing, I wouldn't care, but there is this and this and this"? Then you list out all of things that have ever happen with this person that relates to this situation that is happening now. This is a big sign your energy drain is clogged! You are carrying that past around with you and not letting it go. The next time something goes there in that same energetic pattern, be it that person, that situation, etc., it catches on that clog and adds to it, instead of washing through. It piles up on you and pretty soon you are reacting to things that are happening now based on something that is already over and done. How do you just let go of all of this?

Awareness is the biggest gift of all and you are giving that awareness to yourself every time the past comes up.  Notice the entire story that is coming out here. Notice the things you could list in relation to this issue. These are all the issues that want to be healed right now! Bring them up. Look at them with fresh eyes and all that you have learned since that happened. Sink into the past feelings that want to clear out now and let them have permission. Then notice how that shifts everything.

Insightful Inspiration of the week

Find an issue that has been piling up on you. Someone or something that brings up the past every time you encounter it. Spend some time with what comes up. Really noticing it, feeling it, having the wisdom of it. This is your chance to heal your past! It is really that simple. Give it a try. This isn't going to solve all you past traumas at once... but it is so much better than adding to the plug.

Being decisive

Sometimes I find that we have trouble being decisive. People often call me to help them make a decision. I try to careful not to tell them what to do or how to do it... that is their choice to make. But walking that line of giving enough information that might help them tap into their own clarity better and make decisions with confidence and ease. Decisions seem to be a constant dilemma we all deal with in our lives. Making decisions isn't always easy, but my guides are always telling me that we give it too much credit. We are just choosing what experience we would like to have, nothing more. Why do we fret over things as if they are life or death then? Our egos! Making a decision and moving forward with it without looking back or regretting it later is a huge gift you can give yourself. It helps you be present rather than always looking into the past and future about what you did or didn't do right or wrong.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

Work on being decisive this week. Make decisions and move forward with them. Notice when you are judging yourself about them or trying to control the outcome of them. See if you can let that go. If not, ask yourself why you are getting hung up there. What are you really afraid of? What do you need to make you feel okay with this decision? How can you give that to yourself? As doubt and fears come up, notice. This is your key to the things blocking you from what you want. Work with it with love and see how this shifts your energy. As always, I encourage you to share your ideas on this with me and others on my facebook page.

What can't you live without?

So just take a moment and think about what you really need. Ask yourself the question twice. Do I REALLY NEED this or do I just want it? It is okay to just want something, but when you take the NEED part out, it gives it more freedom. More room to grow, rather than having you hold on to it so tight you won't let it do anything. Freedom comes when we are no longer afraid of loosing those things that we THINK we need and realize that we always have what we need and always will. Then look at all the great stuff we WANT to have, that we do have! This is a place of gratitude, but also a place of letting go.

Mirror, Mirror what do I need to learn today?

Have you ever noticed how much time you spend trying to convince someone of something you believe in?  For example, your political views or perhaps you describe in detail how you came to a big decision. Maybe you are trying to explain to someone how you are doing "well" or spend time describing how something came about for the "better". Maybe you are just telling someone how they could lead a better life by allowing themselves to shine from underneath their self consciousness. It is as if we are trying to convince someone else of what we think, so they can turn around and confirm it for us. If they can't confirm it for us, we continue to struggle to explain, convince, describe, etc. in order to get them to see our way. Why can't we just be confident enough in ourselves not to have to explain our actions or describe our decision making process?

This goes beyond just trying to get someone to believe in what you do. Have you ever gone around telling everyone how "fine" you are despite something major happening to you? For example, if you lost your job and you tell everyone around you it is for the best, it will work out in the end, or you are excited for the new opportunities. Maybe you had a miscarriage and you tell people you can try again, or it wasn't meant to be. It is as if we are talking to ourselves too. Trying to convince ourselves that what we are saying IS what we believe or better yet, that if we tell the person in front of us, they will mirror back what we need (that they agree we will be better off, etc.) and that will in turn make us feel better.

My inspiration for you this week is to notice where you are telling others things, you too, need to hear. Then try and tell yourself them more often. If you find yourself telling someone else who lost their job it is for the better, also notice where you might need that same reality (even if you still have a job and are just nervous you will loose it). If you find yourself telling someone to be themselves and not worry about what other people think... tell yourself that too. Our world is a reflection of ourselves and if we take notice, we can create a very healing experience that brings us back to being who we were meant to be. Have fun seeing your reflection!
