Manifesting what you are Worth

How can you manifest what you are worth if you don't know what you are worth and you aren't facing what is blocking you from that knowledge. Self worth is a great place to start in figuring out how you are blocked to manifesting what you want.

Mirrors of our Inner Truth - What you see is what you are.

For the most part people don’t see you, they see their idea of you, through their own filters of what they are. It is important to remember this when taking feedback from other’s or allowing other people to be the directors of your inner story.

On the flip side, it is also important for you to remember you do it too. Take ownership of your projections as your own inner truth and you have a whole new way of working with subconscious mind. Working with the subconscious mind, helps you see how your reality is being shaped by beliefs that you have, that you don’t even know you are manifesting from.

Charades and other pass times with your Guides

We are constantly getting signs, lessons, answers and messages from our guides and etheric helpers. Skeptics think this is all in people's heads. If that is true, let me tell you my head is SMART! Everything I hear your guides say for you is just right for you. Everything I hear them say for me is stuff I could never tell myself. So if that is all in my head, I am okay with that. Because it works. But for those of us with a little more open mindedness and willing to think beyond ourselves, hear me when I say, you are being heard and you are being answered.

Hearing the answers takes a few things besides just a clear head. Here are a few fun games to play with your guides to get the communication flowing.

Are those mine or yours? - Contagious Emotions

Emotions seem to be the easiest thing to share amongst friends; it's almost like a virus. One person feels happy and passes on to the next and the next and so on. That is ideal... but not always how it goes.

More often one person in line is angry and yelling at the cashier which puts you in a "what is wrong with people?" mood which leads you to go home and yell at your kids, which makes them mad at the each other and so on. Emotions are contagious and the sooner we learn to recognize the difference between our emotions and the people we are with, the easier time we will have in knowing ourselves.

Empathy as a survival skill

Empathy is defined by dictionary.comas "the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another." If you are experiencing the feelings, thoughts or attitudes of another, how do you know you are acting in your own best interest and not the person you are empathizing with? If you are identifying with someone else's emotions and making decisions based on those emotions, they may not be right for you.

Empathy can be a survival skill. When we are born we can't talk yet and don't know much about the reality we have just arrived in. With this skill of empathy, we can read each others thoughts and emotions and make decisions on how we will engage with the environment.

"What am I really feeling?"

Things go off track when we don't know where our thoughts and feelings start and the other person's begin. We are always picking up on each other's energy in subtle ways. We feel each others state of mind and often change our behavior and feelings about the situation accordingly.

If you can begin to acknowledge when this sharing of energy is happening, you can begin to understand yourself more clearly and start setting new intentions. By paying attention to your ability to pick up on other people's thoughts and emotions, you begin to see when you are letting someone else's negativity win.

By becoming aware of how easily you change course based on what another person is doing or feeling you will be able to stop being a victim of others and empower yourself to dictate your mood and actions.

What mood are you bringing to the room?

It is also helpful to observe those around you, especially children, as they pick up on your moods. Watch for that moment from when they switch over to what they were feeling independently to what they are feeling when they notice you.  Then ask yourself, is this how I want others to feel around me?

You have more power than you think. If you walk into a room defensive and uptight, that is how the room will respond. This isn't to control how everyone else is feeling, but just to set an intention within yourself of the influence you want to be in the world.

Our unconscious mantra creating our realities

An unconscious mantra is the things we say out loud or in our head to ourselves without even paying attention to what we are saying that works as an incantation or prayer to the universe. In other words the announcements we make out loud that bring more of the same into our lives. How do we identify these mantras and change them?

Thanks to the Rock Bottom

We have all heard the down and out stories of how people hit rock bottom and that was the catalyst for the rising up. We have heard those stories of triumph over the impossible negativity we see in the world. We are overcoming little "rock bottoms" all of the time. It is our success over our struggles that gives us the trust in ourselves to take risks and carry on. It is the success in our moments of weakness, that remind us of our strength.

Stay on the Train of Intention

pirates

I love my job! The conversations I have with the unseen helpers in our lives, always excites me. I am motivated by inspirations, intentions to help and the improvements I see in others. I am not motivated by the concept of more, torturing myself to perform unattainable goals, but ushering myself into doing even more of what I love. How are you motivating yourself to get to your next level? How are you monitoring your progress on that goal? Here is a fun way to think of setting intentions that doesn't require struggle and stress.

Think of your desire for an outcome to be like that purchase of a train ticket to that outcome. For example, you want to find a job. You buy this ticket and get on the train of that intention. You trust that as you sit down on this train you are getting to your desired outcome. This doesn't mean you do nothing while on this train. But what it does mean is you have to stay on the train. Don't look out the window to see if you are on the right track, look out the window knowing you are and you are enjoying the journey. Don't stop the train and try to go somewhere else midway because you aren't sure you will get there, keep steady on your intention.  Know that you are on the right track if you are remaining loving, positive and in alignment with yourself and your intentions.

You might want to respond "Well when you buy a train ticket you know where you are going and that you will for sure get there. How do I know I will get there? Every time I look for a sign that I am getting there, I don't see it."

Here is the response, "You can't buy a train ticket from California to Kansas and expect to see Kansas every time you look out the window at the track. The landscape changes frequently as you travel to your intended destination."

We put out our intentions for things to happen, not realizing several landscape changes have to happen first to let that change take place. We get fearful as the changes happen, we doubt, we fret and we get impatient. All of this gets in the way of us allowing things to happen and flow in as we have requested.

Insightful Inspiration

What track of intention are you on? Are you watching the landscape change and allowing it to morph into the intention you have already set or are you trying to control it by trying to see too far ahead? If you have set an intentional destination for yourself get on that train and trust it will take you there. Let yourself notice your own barriers to your travels and gently maneuver around them allowing your life to make room for this intention you have set. A little patience might help here too. :)

Downtime

My internet connection has been down all day, which surprisingly is why I have time to write this blog. (kind of ironic) But the month of May was not a balanced month for yours truly. I traveled to Australia (in too short of time period to adjust either way) and just had too much going on in all areas of my life. I knew I was out of balance, however for some reason I couldn’t seem to slow it down. I kept saying “next week will be better”. Well now it is official, this month of June is better! I am returning to “normal” and bringing myself into alignment again. Why did I let myself get so out of whack, primarily because I was experimenting with time and how much I could pry in, but also working on my ever present lesson of boundaries and saying no. I do learn a lot from my slides out of bounds, so I am grateful when I can return to myself and see the other end for what it really was.  It also reminds me how good it feels to be in balance and encourages me to stay there.

I can’t say I have found downtime yet. I am still working on it, but I now understand why I need it. The idea that our whole energy system can just go, sleep, go, sleep is not how we were built. We were designed to follow a cycle, a more gradual coming online of ourselves and a more gradual return to rest. The bell curve of our energy rather than peaks and valleys, is key.

Without this down time, we don’t have time to collect ourselves up, reflect on what is going on, or listen to our subtle energetic messages within us and around us. It is like being able to see the scenery, it can only be done when you slow down enough. That doesn’t mean you always stop, you may have to go quickly to get to the place you want, but then slow down and enjoy it.

Insightful Inspiration

Time for some scheduled downtime. Give yourself some time to just stop and be. Time to rest, take inventory on how you are feeling and reflect on the gratitude for all you have done (or survived). Downtime can be whatever you want, as long as it slows you down enough that you can pay attention and feel rejuvenated afterward. Give it a shot. As always, I encourage you to share what you do for downtime. It might encourage someone else. Share on my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/insightfulinspirations.

Are you the one with all the answers?

Doing this work has given me a very clear sense of how much I am addicted to people pleasing. Oh man do I want to make people happy, almost to a fault. However I have also learned through this work that I can not control the information that is being given just to make you happy or tell you what you want to hear. I can give you the positive spin of things, which is the optimistic nature of your guides. But I can't tell you the things you want to hear and the answers you want to have just because you want them. Often time the answer is hidden from view. Just for the sake of the journey. The journey is yours to have and if you already have the map, you may not take all the paths you were meant to. So the truth is kept from you, to help you grow and learn. Some times people feel tricked by this stance. But your guides are just your guides. They don't have all the answers either, nor should they. This is your life to lead. Your answers to figure out.

So when people are seeking answers and not guidance, I am not the help you are looking for. But when you realize that you are always on the right path, it is just helpful to have a flashlight, then you working with your guides and your energy to find YOUR answers. I can help with that!

Insightful Inspiration

If you are looking for someone or something to give you the answers you seek, you are on a fruitless journey. However, if you are willing to see yourself as the answer to all that you want and are, you are on the right track. Others are brought into your life to guide you and help shed light on things, but it is never good for you to give them the power to have your answers. You will get false information and find yourself following thoughts and ideas that are not your own, which never leads you to your happiness. Use others in your life to gain perspective, but seek the truth within yourself in the end.

My Book Is Here!

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog about my news!  I have published a book! Insightful Inspirations, conversation starters with your authentic self. http://bookstore.balboapress.com/Products/SKU-000531426/Insightful-Inspirations.aspx This book is a compilation of blogs, work with others and just general wisdom I have recieved. It is designed to be held in your hand, holding a question in your mind and then open it up to some perspective. I hope to have a card deck that goes with it one day. The artist who did my cover, Stephanie Ingraham with Siyo, will be doing that artwork.

I have to admit that I was pretty nervous to put this book out. Even though I have had it written for over two years, there is just so much exposure with putting this out. I have already found one typo, despite having several proofs and am not sure I like how it printed with the questions on the back of the page. But the gift of this experience is that it is a perfect healing opportunity for my perfection issues! It doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful. That is the amazing gift I will find here, how to just trust and accept my imperfections.

On the flip side, I am even more worried it will do well! :) Fear of success I guess. But part of me worries that I won't have time and won't appreciate the exposure. Again, another amazing opportunity to face my fears and heal. I am catching myself saying "It is just a little book" or "Yeah, no big deal". Wow, who knew I would have such a hard time embracing my accomplishment! I am releasing this issue as well and look forward to whatever this brings.

I have been using the book on my own since I received it and I have to say, I love having it in a format I can hold in my hand. It is so much fun to use! (If I do say so myself.) So I hope you all will take a moment to check it out and find as much value out of it as I do.

Insightful Inspiration

What have you delayed putting out into the world because you are afraid of having it fail? Or maybe you are afraid of it suceeding! What is the worst that can happen? What is the best that can happen? Is it worth the risk?

If you have already faced something like this, share with us. We can all learn from you.

The pull to the truth

What keeps us going? What makes us press on even when we can't possibly find the will to do so? k.d. lang's song Constant Cravings comes to mind. It is about that march onward. Most of us are driven to ask the questions about why and how at least once. This is what I call the pull to the truth. What is the truth? Well there is a whole wikipedia page that will tell you there is never a simple answer to anything. (yet there is) Dictionary.com has five meanings for truth. What a complicated answer I seek. Yet it isn't.

To me we all have a pull to our own truth. A need to identify for ourselves what IS and IS NOT. As children we start off looking at other for the truth, but quickly we begin to notice that there is a difference between our truth and those around us. It may cause us to rebel, act out or conform to a way that isn't our true nature. Where do we find our true nature? How do we know it when we find it?

But the pull to the truth exist in each and every one of us. The desire to see our lives, purpose and existence for what it really is. However, the answer is only inside ourselves because the measure of truth for each of us is different and the only way to see that measure is to look at ourselves.

"Actual existence" is one of the definitions on dictionary.com. What is actual existence? Actual is defined as existing now, existence is the continuance in being. So being now. Ahh, so we come full circle back to the new age movement of being in the NOW! Being in the now = the truth. Interesting. So why are we seeking the truth outside the now? The truth is now, here with us at all times. So it turns out the pull to the truth is a pull to the present moment.

Which brings me to my always consistent message of presence. :)

Insightful Inspiration

Be present and you will find the truth you seek.

Drop the judgement!

Judgement is such a sticky thing. Fear of judgement makes us second guess ourselves, make bad choices and pretend to be something we aren't.  Love of judgement make us scrutinize the people we love and the friends we love to hate. Addiction to judgement make us judge people we only sort of know thinking we know them because we "know the type". My guess is, most of you are doing all three. The truth is judgement is the thing that keeps us separated, not connected. It keeps you down, not up. It holds you back, it doesn't push you ahead.

Some inside scoop on me...

I have a VERY twice exceptional child. Anyone who knows me, knows my struggles (because it is kind of consuming). But it very interesting to me how even when you see my authentic, heartfelt struggles, people still judge. It is probably the hardest place in the world to be judged; my mothering, my child, my perfect love. My kid is not obviously impaired in anyway. In fact, he comes across as being just defiant and self absorbed, albeit extremely intelligent. Even his own grandfather struggles to know how to "accept" him for what he is.

You are probably curious by now what is "wrong" with my child. The truth is NOTHING. Okay that is the spiritual Mom answer. The diagnosis is complex and anyone who evaluates him, says he doesn't fit even the molds of the diagnosis he has. ADHD, Sensory Integration Disorder, Coordination Disorder... who knows really. The fact is, my kids is lovable, extremely capable, intelligent, and AMAZING. When I read his soul, it is wise and uncaring about the things us younger souls want to struggle with. When I see him in the world, he pokes at the very core of the illusion, forcing people to second guess their automatic pilot mode and wake up. His questioning is authentic, not defiant, and quite frankly good for us to hear. We once were grilling him on his grades and he sat smiling. My husband said "You don't get it!" He said, "Yes I do, I have bad grades and I need to focus more on that. But it doesn't have to affect my present happiness." Wow! I want to think like that more often.

My point of my motherly vent is, that we are all so quick to judge. So quick to deny someone acceptance. We forget how that feels when it is done to us. Especially on the topics that we try so hard to do "right".

Let me give you one metaphor that you have heard before from me. If you love a child for it's mistakes, nurture them through it struggles, have compasion for their bad choices, it will grow up to be a loving, nurturing, forgiving person. Because you taught it how. If you scold them, accuse them, shame them and judge them, it will grow up to be a scolding, accusing, shaming and judging person. Who would you like to foster in your world?

Insightful Inspiration

Take this week to think about how much judgement is running your life. See if you happy with letting it run your life. "Good judgement" is important for yourself, but when it extends into situations you are not familiar with, it is not helpful to you or the other person for you to pass judgement on it. Work on bringing awareness to who you are categorizing, rejecting and downright making feel miserable with your negative energy about them. Pull it back. Own up to what you are sending out and stop it! Love yourself, love each other and do you best to love the world we live in. It isn't perfect, but things don't get better when you judge it, they get better when you nurture it.

Why am I surrounded by idiots?

People spend a lot of time in my office asking me "Why do I keep attracting this?!" The interesting part of the law of attraction, etc. is that the more we ask that question, the more opportunities we have to answer it. We attract more and more of the things we find so irritating, until we figure out why it is we find it irritating to begin with. This is a difficult concept for people to get when it comes to the teachings of "the Secret", etc. They want to believe they are a victim of their life, maybe because it is easier than taking full responsibility, maybe because they don't know where to start if they have to think they are in 100% control, or maybe it has something to do with fitting it. What ever the reason people want to reject this idea, is the very reason they Key having these experiences.

Here is an example, one of my clients asks me "Why am I surrounded by idiots? Why is everyone in my world clueless and self absorbed?" This very question is kind of like raising your hand in class. You teacher is going to demonstrate your question, so you get your answer. How do they demonstrate it? Not by giving you the opposite of what you asked, but by giving you a closer look at what you asked, in other words, bringing you more clueless idiots in your life so you can figure out why you are attracting it.

A better question might be simply to ask "Why can't I surround myself with aware, informed people who are capable of thinking beyond themselves?" At lease it is bringing in the subject you truly want. However, it may take a few more idiots to get your attention in order for you to make the shift to attract what you desire.

In other words, the more you ask why you are having a certain experience, the more of those experiences you attract. It is similar said than done, because people ARE their beliefs and it is often hard for them to suddenly see themselves surrounded by a different type of person, when they are so use to be surrounded by what they typically see. That is the other part of the equation I have talked about so much on my blog. That part that says "I want this, but I don't believe I can have it." That part of you that rejects the people you want to attract because you don't believe it can truly exist.

Here is another example. I have a client who has asked for more people who "get" what she is into regarding energy work. Then she attracts those types of people, but she continuously rejects them because she doesn't believe they are truly the ones she has asked for and still must have the "old agenda" even though they say they don't. Her belief system is fighting with her law of attraction. This happens ALL the time. This may sound ridiculous to you, but I bet if you have done any of this law of attraction work and you see yourself not getting what you think you want. It is because you don't 100% believe it can be possessed.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

Use the question "How come this keeps happening to me?" in a different way. Instead of asking from a pity me space, asked if from a classroom space of true curiosity. Ask yourself  that question honestly and opening and see what answers come to you. You will get your answers. Some of them may be answers you don't want to hear, but you have to be willing to hear it. For example maybe you are attracting less intelligent people in your space because you have the desire to feel superior intellectually. You like being the "smartest" and being able to look around and not see anyone comparing to you. You might even like complaining about it. {gasp} :) Never the less, you can make a shift if you want to if you let go of the benefits this thing is secretly providing. Give it a shot!

Separation

Separation is kind of the key to all things that ail us in these human bodies. We are separate from one another in form and mind but not in spirit and reality. Together we create our reality, but we do so from separate minds and experiences. This provides a ripe learning ground for our souls, but a lot of complicated matters for our perceptions. When we perceive ourselves to be separate we believe that we must fight another for the resources that are available. We believe that we better or worse than someone else. We believe that judgement  of someone else is necessary to gauge ourselves. We believe that our actions don't always affect others if they don't know about it or see it. We believe that as separate beings we are alone, most of the time. I once heard someone say "You are born alone and you die alone, get use to it."

We are, however, very connected in all ways. Our energy entangle together in all things. We know this deep down within ourselves. Most of us as humans learn compassion and empathy, which leads us to connecting with other people's experiences of the world. Most of us forget at times that others do not know the world exactly as we know it and forget to explain things from our point of view, thinking everyone should already know it. Most of us feel the need to connect with at least one other person on a regular basis, in order to feel fulfilled. Most of us are capable of seeing that our actions do affect others and make choices accordingly. We never completely forget our connection either.

When we see each other as reflections of ourselves, we can begin to see we are fragmenting what was once whole, to better understand it. When we can see that the illusion of separate is mearly an experiement in better understanding, we still respect the connections we all have. When we are able to connect to the real dilemas of being separate we can appreciate the true gift of connection.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

Contemplate this idea that you are a separate being from everyone else around your. Your ideas, experiences, perceptions are all your own, shared by no one. Then contemplate all the ways you are connected to others and how others have effects on you ideas, choices, actions, etc.  Take notice where your actions, feelings, etc. have an effect on others. Are there any adjustments you want to make to this perception of connected versus separate? Do you want to balance this perception out one way or another a little more or are you happy with your current believes. Weigh the benefits of both and see how that automatically shifts your idea on the subject.

It is time to look at things differently

This post is inspired by a video clip from the Ted conference that a client of mine sent me. I love this message so much, and it is one I personally subscribe to as often as possible, but being a natural born perfectionist, need reminding of daily. That message is that it is OKAY to be wrong. No really, I swear. It helps us learn. Similar to the challenges post last week, this is me, encouraging you to face your mistakes like wonderful gifts and embrace them. Here is the clip by Kathryn c on being wrong.Shttp://www.ted.com/talks/kathryn_schulz_on_being_wrong.html

The open mind, the one that is willing to be wrong once in awhile for better ideas than the ones that they currently have, is in my opinion the best gift of all. The Free Dictionary defines an open mind as having a mind that is open and receptive to new ideas. But to me, this means you are willing to say that your current ideas might be wrong. Always willing to reconsider.

The think about giving up old ideas for the sake of new ones, doesn't mean your old ones were ever wrong. For you, they were right, just then. But there comes a time when maybe that idea no longer serves your reality and it is time to look at things differently. Sometimes the only reason we are not willing to do this is because we are afraid to admit we made old decisions from the wrong place. But how about instead of thinking that we are ever wrong, but still being willing to admit it, we think we are always flexible in what can and cannot be true.

I know, I can hear the arguments already. But just try this out a bit on your own "wrong" way of thinking and see if you want to make it "right" for yesterday, but "wrong" for today.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

What thought patterns are you hanging on to that are "wrong" today? What is the world trying to fight you on right now that you are "right fighting" for? Are you open minded enough to explore other possibilities? Can you be willing to let yourself admit you are wrong, to see things differently? Find the freedom that comes from not always having to be right? Give it a try, just admit you are wrong on some things this week. Wear it proudly and show that you are willing to admit it and try things from a new direction. Humble yourself a bit and join the human race. "To err is human" which means it must have a divine key to our ability to be the best humans we can.

Challenges! Yippie!

We often find ourselves wishing for life to easier. Dreaming of the day when life is more peaceful, abundance, predictable, etc. But if life were all predictable and easy, wouldn't you be bored? I know... I hear you saying it "I could use a little boredum". But challenges are opprortunities! Opportunities for growth and awareness and better understanding of yourself in the world around you. If you can scream "Yippie!" everytime life threatens a challenge, trust me you will start to feel better. I know you can't expect this from yourself 100% of the time, but give it a try with something small that you have been feeling annoyed about. See how changing the challenge to an opportunity, just in your mind, changes your experience with it.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

What challenges are you wishing you didn't have to deal with this week? Is there a challenge you can change to an opportunity? Look at this issue with new eyes that ask "what can I learn here?" or "What positive thing can I get out of the experience?" Don't lie to yourself and try and fake you love all your challenges. Pick something easy, that you can start to play with a bit. Once you learn that it works, then go bigger and bigge

Resistance is Futile

Resistance is an interesting part of the energy field. I use it in a lot of ways in my work. It tells me when someone is believing what they say, for example " I want this new job." I can tell if there is resistance to that thought or not. I can tell if they are able to handle energy healing they are receiving, getting a little push back or resistance when they can. I also use it to find programs inside people, that are no longer working. For example, I MUST work a job in XYZ because that is what I have always done, but I can't seem to get a job there any more. This shows me that you might be being asked to look for something new, but you are resisting. It also identifies that there is fear there about letting go for some reason. Sometimes we have a hard time reading our own resistance or we logic it out and explain why we should be in resistance. But if you pay attention, you can find where you can move into flow and out of resistance. Sometimes we are pushed so hard by the helping forces we can no longer resist because we have no energy left to do so, or things have gotten so hard we have no choice. But you don't have to get there before you stat paying attention.

Insightful Inspiration of the week

Look for places you feel resistance. Are you trying to do things the same way as always, only to be met with unexpected results or failure? Are you trying to push yourself too hard? Ask yourself where you can let go of this struggle a bit. Find out why you do it, i.e. because you always have, because you don't know any other way, because you are afraid not to. Spend a moment making an agreement with yourself to pay attention to this resistance and gently allow it to change. Resistance is only helping to show you where you are not in the flow. You can move out of it and return to the flow if you only pay attention.

Knight Rider Mind

Would you let your car tell you where to go, what to do, or how to be? Of course not! Even if your car was equipped with an artificial intelligence system like the show Knight Rider, you wouldn't let the car run your life! This is basically what we do with our minds. Our thoughts are just part of who we are, yet we let our thoughts, both conscious and subconscious, run our lives. We are driven by our minds on everything from what to wear for the day to what careers we should get into. Even when we start to awaken to something more, we crave information and understanding so that the mind can digest the concept of "awake" and "enlightened". But enlightenment is so much more than just knowing something about the spirit. It the experience of spirit.

Here is where this goes wrong. Your mind is just a tool for you while you are here. When you die, you are not your mind. When you were a baby, you thoughts were still developing, yet you were still you. So although the thought gurus of the metaphysical world, like Louise Hay, says "change your thoughts and change your life"" and this is VERY true, it is also about going beyond the mind completely in order to reconnect with the bigger sense of you.

When you are able to contemplate on all that makes up who you are and what you are doing here, the message becomes much clearer than just your thoughts. The universe responds to this question with experiences that help you unlock your deeper sense of self.

Insightful Inspiration of the week

You are so much bigger than your thoughts. Live you life beyond what you are thinking. Incorporate it into everything else you are experiencing emotions, spirit, sensations, etc. Ask for help from the universe or your God to show you who you really are, beyond your thoughts. Then see what unfolds in your life. Reconnecting with your spirit means shedding the shackles of the illusions that you are only your mind and body and opens you up to the endless possibilities that are already available to you.

Spend some time doing something that helps you quite your mind and see what other parts of yourself shine through.
